Dogecoin's Network Is Scheduled For The First Time

The other day, there was information that the Dogecoin network is planning the first in its history of the hard-core - Dogethereum (DOGX).

The developers of the new project shared its details in the BitcoinTalk forum. According to available data, hardfork will take place at the end of 2018.

Dogethereum is a new decentralized currency that will be based on a snapshot of the famous Dogecoin and the Ethereum algorithm with the highest transaction speed, smart contracts.

- the forum description reads.

According to the developers, DOGX will not be a pre-mined, as well as pre-saled. Dogecoin holders will receive Dogethereum in a ratio of 1 to 1.

Our goal is to give Doge currencies a completely new development vector, without mining on ASIC, but with speed and simplicity. The community manages the project, so there will be no ICO, no preliminaries, and no other manipulations.

- noted the creators of DOGX.

It is noteworthy that the name of the new cryptocurrency is the same as the name of the Dogethereum Bridge solution created by the developers of the Truebit off-board protocol. In early February, they managed to send the first DOGE coins to the Ethereum Rinkeby test network, which was an important achievement regarding ETH scaling and again aroused interest in Dogecoin. There are suggestions that the developers of Dogrehereum's hard-core want to take advantage of Truebit's accomplishments to raise their project.

Recall that in January, the market capitalization of the cryptocurrency of Dogecoin (DOGE), created as a parody of bitcoin and named in honor of the Internet meme, exceeded $2 billion.
