Pornhub Starts Accepting Verge As Payment

Dreams come true? The lovers of adult videos and crypto-enthusiasts at the same time now have an opportunity to blend the useful with the agreeable, as the “Rated NC-17” top entertainment online service Pornhub announced the surprise for its users.

The peculiar streaming site is now going to accept a cyber-coin – Verge (XVG) in particular – as a payment method for its adult services. Precisely, the asset will be accepted for covering both premium and other purchases on the site. The news came out on April 17, as Pornhub had signed an agreement with the Verge.

Combining Business With The Pleasure

“The Future Has Cum,” these are the words used in the title for the promotional Pornhub video, released on YouTube on the occasion of partnership with Verge.

In the video, there is portrayed an imaginary dialogue in the future (in 2077) between an old man and his grandson. The man explains to his “hash”-descendant that many years ago people had to use metal coins, plastic cards as well as paper money to pay for goods. However, everything changed when one website (read: “Pornhub”) started accepting cryptos (read: Verge).

In the intro to the video, the following is said:

“Building on Verge's core values of security, anonymity, and practicality, the introduction of this cryptocurrency as a means of payment Pornhub signifies an important foray into the future from the industry that is always on the cutting edge of technology.”

In the press release, published on the PR newswire Cision, the vice president of the adult site Corey Price said:

“Not only is this an exciting announcement for us and the adult entertainment industry, it's exciting for the crypto space.”

Then he went on to mention that adult gaiety niche has always played a key role in the field of innovations. “We saw that with VHS, Beta Max, credit card payment icons and, most recently, VR goggles,” specified Price. Therefore, Pornhub expects blockchain and cyber assets to take the floor.

What Do We Know About Verge?

This cyber-coin is generated on the blockchain, which is a core of bitcoin. Verge also utilizes Tor as well as I2P nets. The last ones, by the way, are there to provide the anonymity of the coin, as per the press release.

Apparently, the representatives of the Verge-brand also cheered up the partnership. The founder of the coin Justin Sunerok called the collaboration with the adult site a phenomenon that “represents an enormous market with a global reach that will compete with fiat currencies.”

Not By Pornhub Alone

However, it is not Pornhub that is going to accept cryptos for payment. According to the info in the press release, among other companies that will soon become friendly towards Verge are:

  • porno-production business Brazzers
  • adult gaming site Nataku

Pornstars To Give Away Verge Coins

Pornhub is going to work hard on the promotion of the Verge partnership. In particular, its porn actresses and actors will start giving away Verge coins.

Moreover, there will be organized significant events in New York as well as Silicon Valley. Famous pornstars will also take part in them, coming on such luxury cars as Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bentley.
