Venezuelan Authorities Opened A School For Teaching Cryptocurrency And Trading

A few days after the launch of El Petro, the Venezuelan government opened a state training center whose task is to teach citizens how to buy, sell and mine crypto, and the basics of crypto-economics. The school called Granja Laboratorio Petro School is located in Caracas.

With the help of this center, we hope, first of all, to make this knowledge accessible, as well as any new methodology or technology.

- said the teacher of crypto trading Carmen Salvador in an interview with Reuters.

For Venezuelan citizens, the training will be completely free, and for residents of other countries, the course will cost between $ 500-800.

Salvador also showed journalists the mining equipment that is available in the school and is already in use.

Recall that the presale of Venezuela's national cryptocurrency El Petro was launched on February 20. According to the President of the country, Nicolas Maduro, from this moment on its purchase received certified requests from 87.2 thousand potential investors from 127 countries.

At the same time, Maduro's previously announced success of El Petro is questionable due to the lack of any evidence and an established process. Also, the issue of El Petro was negatively perceived by the parliament and the trade unions of the country. At the same time, Maduro ordered the largest companies to use national cryptocurrency, and all country's savings banks to open mining farms.
